Dress Code

Lanyard and School ID

  • School issued grade-level appropriate lanyard and school ID must be worn around the neck and visible at all times.
  • School ID badges should not be altered in any way or the student will be required to replace the ID.

CPM Dress Code

Cypress Palm Middle School adheres to a standardized dress policy. Please familiarize yourself with this policy. Parents/Guardians: we respectfully request your support in ensuring that your child dresses appropriately for school.

TOPS

  • CPM Spirit Shirts
    Polo Style Shirts
    • Solid color
    • Buttons must be fastened 3 up from the bottom of the shirt 
    • Short or long-sleeved collared shirt 
    • Below the waist of pants
    • Shirt length no longer fingertips (arms at sides)

BOTTOMS

  • One color solid pants, jeans, or shorts
    • NO sagging of the pants.
    • Bottoms should not be too tight or too loose. 
    • Underwear shall NOT be visible at any time. 
    • NO leggings, yoga pants, or jeggings
    • NO athletic/sport-style shorts, no sweat/warm-up style pants
    • Shorts must sit at the waist and be finger-tip length or mid-thigh 
    • NO skirts
    • NO frayed edges, rips, or holes of ANY kind
    • NO jean shorts 

FOOTWEAR

  • Sneakers or closed toe shoes 
  • No heel height greater than one inch 
  • Socks must be worn 
  • Crocs are allowed 
  • No flip flops, slides, or bedroom slippers

OUTERWEAR

  • Any crew neck sweatshirt or outerwear 
  • Zipped or unzipped sweatshirts are allowed (no hoods)
  • Shirts must be visible beneath the outerwear
  • Logos are permitted, must be school appropriate
  • NO HOODIES

HEADWEAR

  • Sunglasses, hats, visors, hoods, sport sweatbands, or bandanas shall not be worn on campus at any time.
  • Appropriate headbands are permitted. 

SPECIAL DAYS

  • *CCPS Dress Code will be followed for special dress down days approved by administration.
